Liked: comfortable beds, room was as clean as could be expected, nice view of the water from back deck of room Disliked: when we checked in the man, who I assume is the owner, was unwelcoming-just handed me the key & said “#5” no greeting, nothing. The bathroom was pretty gross, not dirty but old nasty cracked flooring, fixtures that should have been updated 20 years ago, no outlet in bathroom etc. The only cups provided were 2 styrofoam coffee cups. We asked the grumpy man at the restaurant (the only unfriendly person we met in Canada!) if we could have something to drink a glass of wine (even plastic cups would do) but he just gave us 2 more styrofoam cups & said it was the best he could do. The room was just adequate as a place to sleep. Overpriced for the dumpy condition of the bathroom and the feeling that we were a burden rather than welcome guests.

We absolutely love it here! We come at least once a year. The owners always remember us personally and go out of their way to make us feel welcome. They are wonderful with our kids and even when they are not with us, make a point to ask us how they are doing. Simple, clean rooms and an outstanding restaurant, all overlooking a world-class view. A true gem of NB!
