Our one-night stay at Silverwood was very nice. The owners/staff were so pleasant and engaging. Their dining room was closed when we arrived, but they made great suggestions as to where we could some places open and directions on how to get there. They were full of information about the area and had a library stacked with picture books and magazines of Newfoundland. They provided a breakfast, which was more than enough. The only drawback for me was a cold shower as several others were showering at the same time, and it caused a problem with hot water supply. Despite that, I would definitely go back again to this homey environment, which felt more like a bed 'n breakfast than a hotel/motel.
