One of the more unique hotels you will ever stay at, it has a lot of character. You would swear you were in a century old building that has been retro-fitted and modernized, but it’s actually relatively new with the character by design. We stay here often, so can tell you each room is pretty much unique, typically very large with large bathrooms as well. Most (all?) have electric fireplaces and many have great views (some not so good too!). Because of their size, most rooms are good for socializing if you are traveling with a group. But with their character, the on-site spa, and easy walking to the river and the shops of Lewiston, this is a great place for a romantic getaway as well. Continental breakfast is included. It is good but not great. The staff are very helpful, pleasant And accommodating. They now sell some beverages in the lobby if want a night-cap. We keep going back, so I would have to say we strongly recommend this place!

Beautiful vintage inn set on the river is a little escape getaway. Comfortable bed, lots of windows, and friendly staff. We love to stroll up to quaint, historic Lewiston for a coffee or cocktail or fabulous meal.

The town is lovely and the only positive. this hotel is bare bones, nobody to help with luggage, you can hear other guests going to the washroom and everything else, no night table, not even a glass in the room let alone a water bottle. It truly is a low class motel with prettier furnishings perhaps.

If you are pick , stay away

The outside of the hotel is beautiful, but when you get inside the bedroom is a disaster, mould, mud falling on walls, it really need an up to date, the breakfast Has not enough food, if you get there after 9 am Good look , you got to be there between 7-8am The front desk did her best, very helpful and knew what she was doing, but I don’t think the owners know how to run that business

Beautiful location for this historic hotel. The room was large and offered a nice view of the river, fireplace and large bathroom. The room was clean but could use some additional furnishings and improved amenities. This quaint hotel and location could be amazing but we found it to be just ok.
