Staff are very friendly, they were accommodating when i checked in, i had a 2 queen room but had two people in my group cancel so i took a smaller room. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Door lock on room was installed incorrectly, room was left unlocked the balance of the stay and management said there was nothing they could do about it as their insurance company needed to change the lock. I needed to bring all of my belongings with me every time i left the room, management did not offer any compensation or offer me a different room due to this flaw. Im sure they were aware that most of the other hotels in the area were full, and i didn't have anywhere else to go. Outside of rooms smelled like tobacco smoke all the time, as there were benches outside of each room for people to smoke on. Returned to Motel at 11pm and parking lot was full, needed to call front desk service and ended up parking in a walkway.

I didn't like the bathroom! The walls need painting. The shower was in definite need of remodel. I refused to use it! Only one small bottle of shampoo and one small soap bar for four people in a room. The bed was so squeaky I would wake the others when I turned over! The breakfast was just ok. The pool area wasn't operational when we arrived. The next day we were able to use it. The hallway to our room was in need of cleaning! Overall the staff person at the desk was nice. I didn't like that there is no cancellation at this motel, or I would have cancelled when I realized when they charged me, that the rate posted is only for 2 people in a double queen room. There was extra $40.00 for the two other people! Totally unexpected fees

The only good thing about this place is the staff are friendly. Bugs in the bed and rock hard mattress followed by a stained extremely small tub! Woke up and ran! Never will stay again! Found a CLEAN comfortable decent price hotel just outside cranbrook! Had a talk with some of the people that live here in town and was informed that this place is one of the worst places to stay in town!!

Older motel in good condition and clean. Better than most motels in its price range. On the main road with exterior doors on each room so quite a bit of traffic noise. The room was small but adequate. The free breakfast was decent, but there is no seating area for it, and it wasn't available as early as at most motels, I think it was 7:30.

My daughter and I loved the tub in room 50! The color was fantastic. The surroundings may be vintage but they were in great repair and very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and eager to please and very kind. I would highly recommend The Lazy Bear Lodge to all my friends.
