Beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff
We recently stayed here as we were in town with a family wedding. The day of the wedding, it was pouring rain and none of us thought to pack an umbrella. The staff was nice enough to lend us 3 umbrellas so we wouldn't get wet. The manager and the staff were always saying good morning and stopping to chat. We hated to leave!! Great hotel!!

Close to Port in Mobile
This was a very clean and obviously new hotel. Receptionist on duty was always very helpful. One went the extra mile and looked up and typed up the driving route to the port for us. We needed assistance on a few other questions - whoever was on call was always courteous in their replies as well as helpful. Great breakfast too. I highly recommend the Fairfield Inn in Saraland. Every person we encountered that was working was beyond friendly. Check in was a breeze. Room was satisfactory with the best feather pillows around! It had a late check out, which was a nice added bonus. The hot breakfast buffet was awesome and everyone found something yummy (including my picky four year old).

Overnight trip
I love Marriott hotels. I try to stay in one every chance I get. The beds are always super comfortable and the rooms and lobby areas are always clean. The room we stayed in appeared very clean, but there were (2) two dirty used washcloths hanging in the shower. I went down to the lobby to ask the front desk for a washcloth and towel because there are three of us in the room and there were two used/dirty washcloths still in the shower 😩😩😳. She looked at me like she didn’t hear me and just said “so you need a washcloth and towel then?”😳 . No apology or let me get someone up there to clean it or remove the dirty linen. Also dirty spots on the bed spread.So that was disappointing. I will still stay in a Marriott hotel but makes me wonder if the room was really cleaned. We did have a very tasty dinner at Wintzells oyster house. So very good!!
