5 star experience, hotel, staff, amenities
Wow! This hotel is a 5 star experience. The staff went over & above at every turn, the view from our room was breath taking! The room was delightful, clean, spacious & modern. The bed was big & comfortable. We had been in Italy for 12 days & the 2 days we stayed at Mamela were the best by far. We lounged by the infinity pool every day with Limoncello Spritz’s, the breakfast was wonderful & with a spectacular view. When we purchased our room, I upgraded to include the breakfast. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, which was a penthouse view & more expensive, but I knew the view & the environment would be worth it. The location of the hotel was great for us. We had Mamela meet us at the ferry & take our bags for us. We took the funicular up to city center & followed directions to our hotel. It was a quick walk to the hotel, but you can only get there by walking a short bit as the taxis can only get so far. Don’t hesitate to stay here. If you are checking reviews, make sure you are looking at updated reviews. This hotel remodeled & made their pool an infinity pool, & upgraded their rooms. Such an amazing time in Capri & at Hotel Mamela

Hotel Mamela is a beautiful property on a stunning island with incredible views. We had a large suite with full view of the water and the yachts below. The breakfast on the terrace was delicious. The pool area is tremendous with many lounge chairs available for guests. But the thing that really makes the hotel is the helpfulness of their staff. We had a couple of travel challenges while staying at the hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary. The hotel staff were more than accommodating, helpful and made it an unforgettable experience. Their dinner reservations in particular were spectacular.

Amazing!!
Incredible in every way. Super clean, high end property in excellent location. 10 mnt walk from piazetta. Room was impeccable with superb ocean view and 2 bathrooms!! Property is absolutely gorgeous. Splurge on an ocean view. I’d give it a five star vs four. Good breakfast in a beautiful dining room with great service. Don’t hesitate to book you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent location in Capri, close to both restaurants and shopping. The pool area was very good, 180 degree view over the see and good service, therefor we felt no need to visit a separate beach club. The breakfast room was very nice and luminous, drinking your morning coffee felt like having light therapy. In terms of selection (we like healthy breakfast), it was okey. The overall impression of the hotel was very good, it is not a luxury hotel (you get what you pay for), but it is a good choice if you do not want to pay for a luxury hotel but still wants a nice hotel with standard “one step below luxury hotel”. We would book it again if we return to Capri.
