Tiny Property; Grand Experience
We've seen this property dozens of times and have even had sunset cocktails there, but this is our first stay. It was fantastic. The property is small (only five rooms), but has a nice restaurant, good bar, and a nice-sized pool with an ocean view. It's a great place to watch Grand Case's wonderful sunsets. The staff is very friendly, efficient, and tries to please (and really is genuine in attempting to make guests' stays pleasurable).
Fruit, croissant, pain au chocolat, bread, yogurt and juice and coffee are included for breakfast every day. We sat overlooking the water and enjoyed each morning.
When we arrived Saturday evening, we were unaware that the hotel would be closed on Sunday. That meant that we basically had the place to ourselves all day. Remember, there are only 5 rooms -- maximum 10 guests. The restaurant was closed, but the bar was open for us until three in the afternoon. We had a blast.
The only downside is that the rooms, by design, have no ocean view. But they are extremely private and very romantic. Each has a private garden and plunge pool. There is an honor bar with beer, wine, and spirits (and enough room to stash leftovers from the night before.)
The one thing that dampened our comfort was our malfunctioning AC unit. While our friends' room was ice-cold, ours was muggy and warm the first 2 nights. Finally, as businesses opened Monday, a technician came to fix ours. It was simply a dirty filter. We joyously relaxed in chilled air our last night.
