Great hotel in an underrated part of Miami
We stayed in a 2 BR residence and it was perfect for our family. Great furnishings, good space plan. Great amenities at the hotel (pool, restaurants, fitness center, proximity to the brickell shopping center). Our only slight hiccups were with a food order at the pool which never came. And no-one could figure out how to turn the jets on for the hot tub. But otherwise reception was great, check-in was super smooth and our room was ready early. I’d completely stay here again.

More of a 3 star than 4-5 star experience
I stayed one night and was given room 2414. The room was more like a hostel than a hotel room and not worthy of a four star hotel let along 5 star, more like 3. Bathroom offered no privacy. Toilet even had a glass door that was not floor to ceiling. The door to the toilet is a continuation of the shower door with no separate « bathroom door ». There were no toiletries offered other than a bar of soap and the reusable shower pumps with liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. Shower water pressure was inadequate. Room was small and the view was terrible. You could see inside of apartments across the street, I had to close my shades. The iron in the room was burned at the bottom and caused me to burn a shirt I was trying to press. Picture below. The staff was not very competent. As part of my hotels.com Gold status, I’m entitied to a room upgrade when available. When I came to check in, I was told my room wasn’t ready but I can pay to upgrade to a room that was ready. When I mentioned I’m entitled to a complimentary upgrade, the clerk said he didn’t see that in his notes. Felt like a bait and switch. Something was promised online and not honored by the property.
Bathroom had no door.  Separated from rest of room with a wall screen.
