2/10 Poor

Family visit became nightmare
First of all, good thing about this hotel is the view I can see from the ouside of the door as I can see the entire town feom high up , hope I could see this from inside but anyway it was phenomenal. Now get to the point why our family trip became nightmare. As we enter the room, toom was not properly clean as there are some dead flies, some white stuffs most importantly the smell was bad enough that it game my son a serious headache that made him almost cry and I was actually looking up another place to crash in for the night. But afer we left the hotel with all the windows open for several hours it got just little better. But the problem continued due to flying flies, some bug etc. Anyway we spent the night eventually and thought we just needed to leave this hotel after the breakfast but here are other issues, I've stayed so many inns and hotels with breakfast included so far but this was the worst breakfast ever in my life, most guests left after looking at the meal, only thing I could grab was a piece of bread and boiled egg period. Finally I'm done with this and can't handle anymore but my son came and told me that there are cockroaches on the beds and some went to my son's backpack. I normally don't leave any feedback but I want to tell some people that what my trip was like especially for families I will never come back here. I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND HOW THE RATING WAS SO HIGH FOR THIS HOTEL. One thing more, rag was on the top of towel and some of our pillows had stains

6/10 Good

It was my 9th visit since 2018 so I know this property well and changes compared to before. I have mostly booked the corner room which I prefer when it would be available on the list, and this time as well. However, the regular room was served. I couldn’t understand why I would call the reception next time when I book the corner room(recommended by staff). It was already indicated on the room list named separately when I booked. Was pretty disappointing.

4/10 Fair

Our travels were throughout Alberta and BC, and we stayed at places along the way. The Chalet seemed to have decent reviews, but unfortunately not as of recently, and a lot of them I agree with. Pros: Pet friendly, balcony off of room, easy check in. Cons: - Not cleaned well, handprints and finger prints on all surfaces that show (windows, mirrors, microwave, fridge) and appeared they had built up over multiple guests. The garbage can had no bag, and the base of the garbage can was full of sticky residue, coffee grinds, etc. Bedside tables had crumbs on them, the covers were full of flecks of stuff we couldn't identify, making it seem like they weren't freshly cleaned at all. Balcony had at least a month's worth of cob webs and insect material built up on it. - Was nice ice and water provided in lobby, although the general cleanliness of the outer part of the ice machine made it appear it had never been wiped down, so I didn't trust the ice within it either. - Were given 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper for our 24 hours there, had to resort to tissue paper as there was no one at front desk or any we could see around to access. - We relied on it having 1 queen bed, and a pull out bed. The pull out bed mattress was broken somehow? It would not stay in the frame and you immediately fell through onto the ground, no matter how we tried to fix it. - Breaker box was left wide open, unsure why? - Parking was quite tight, larger trucks almost blocked us right in.
