8/10 Very good

The property is walking distance from Tikal's park entrance, which was great, the beds were comfortable, and overall cleanliness was on spot. The staff was accomodating and friendly. The highlight of the place was the we were woken up by actual howler monkeys, which was a very cool experience. Be aware that electricity is limited and power generated, but if you organize yourself you won't be too inconvenienced about it. The property is dated, which I think is understandable considering its location.

The staff was incredible. I want to call out Roxy and Carlos for being amazing. Roxy checked me in and was visible throughout the day for any questions and concerns. Carlos worked in the restaurant. Roxy constantly checked up on me. She's an archeologist so she was able to give some tips to explore Tikal on my own. I think it should be known that the power goes out at 9pm for the night and 2 other times at 2 hour increments during the day. This is true for all the hotels in the park. Luckily, I travelled with a huge portable charger so I was able to charge my phone etc over night. But beware. The room was clean and extra blankets were available since the nights I stayed it got really cold. The room and the hotel itself is older so don't go in expecting glam and luxury. But the basics are covered. Wi-Fi signal was a little weak unless you were at the restaurant. I think that is to be expected in the jungle.

The internet was nonexistent. The electricity was shut off at 8:30 pm. You can hear all your neighbors say. We had people talking all night next door. It would be more convenient to stay in Flores and take a shuttle to see the ruins.

Fantastic access to Tikal ruins
Hotel Tikal Inn was amazing. I had a lovely little bungalow with a super comfy bed and awesome HOT shower with great pressure. One of only 3 hotels within Tikal national park. Only mistake I made was taking a very expensive taxi to the hotel when they offered reasonably priced transfers. Excellent value and location!!
