This was our first time staying at Adina Apartments. I decided to choose this hotel because it looked spacious enough to host a small 21st for my partner. There are two things that needs to be improved… 1. Allocated parking. Guests are given a number to park underneath the hotel. There were plenty of empty car parks to go in. But unfortunately, we were given a spot that was far from the elevator entrance. It didn’t help since we had lots of luggage to carry. Hotel staff didn’t even inform us if we would like to use a trolley. (Solution:) To remove numbered parking, but still have Adina labeled underneath. They give you a slip to put on your dashboard anyways, for proof that you are staying there. 2. Miscommunication. Before booking, I had asked two different hotel members if it would be possible to bring guests into our room to help celebrate my partner’s 21st. Both of them said yes, as long as they were all fully vaccinated and had their vaccine passes ready to go. What I wasn’t aware of was that they had to all be out by 10pm! (I found this out two days before arrival)! I was also confused when they didn’t tell me about the “no party policy”. Luckily, I rang them the day before arrival to explain this. They said, I was still able to bring them (with the above information) but we would be given one warning if we were too loud. Otherwise, we would all be told to leave (including those staying!) and will not have our $800 bond back! (Beware!)

We really enjoyed our stay in Adina. The location was perfect and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was just what we needed, and we loved that our bed was remade perfectly! Would highly recommend :)

Auckland Business Apartment Hotel
1 week business stay in Auckland. This hotel is very close to Spark Arena and and about 20 minute walk from Viaduct Basin and restaurants there. There are lots of local restaurants as well. Maid service was at best adequate. Tissues not replaced. Floors not cleaned. Kitchen has everything except a spatula (dah!) for cooking, using fry pan. Coffee machine is a capsule type with two capsules provide per day (mostly). Makes VERY small cups so requires multiple uses of each capsule for a decent cup. Restaurant on premises was OK although service was only adequate. Range of meals was limited. Would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in this area of town.
