Perfectly located, great service, knowledgeable
This place is so well located, you're literally right next to the park entrance. The staff are also extremely accommodating. The day I arrived, I had an onset of food poisoning from the previous night. We had already paid for the tour but they let me use the funds for food the next day. We arrived at 9 AM so our room wasnt ready, but the staff let me lay down in the lobby and were very attentive. As soon as my room was ready, the staff took my stuff to my room and let me sleep. My tour guide brought me tea at some point and it helped my stomach SO much. They continued to provide me tea all weekend and it was never charged to the room. The guides are extremely knowledgeable. I had Vinnie and Tony. Vinnie escorted us from the airport to the hotel and was my tour guide the day I was sick. I caught the first 10 minutes but they were great. my friend went on the tour and said he was wonderful. I had Tony for the sunrise tour and he made sure we got everything we came for. The hotel accommodations are beautiful - it's an oasis in the middle of the jungle. I couldn't praise this place more.

We had 3 nights at the jungle lodge and the last day was spent totally relaxing, even went swimming. Great time could walk to the Tikal Mayan ruins. Food was good and were able to make changes to menu items

Nature filled comfortable lodge
The lodge was very nice and comfortable. All members at Jungle lodge were very nice and helpful. My room was in a separate hut with luxurious bathroom. Windows were just screens except bathroom had glass windows. Weather seems always warm, so I did not get cold during night. There are nets over the beds. Internet connection at the lobby was decent. I arranged shuttle and all the tours ahead via e-mail and everything was in place when I got there. Lodge is located at the gate of Tikal. Two monkeys were fighting on the tree front of my hut. Collectible shuttle runs between Flores airport and the lodge with fee ($20 one way). But, these shuttles only run in the morning and evenings. Between collective shuttles, You can ask the lodge to arrange individual vans, but it will cost a lot more ($95 one way). So, better arrange your flight accordingly. Also, airplane I took at 1pm was so small, only 15 maximum passengers. Anyway, I think better to go to Tikal early in the morning and leave in the evening. Either way, shuttle driver will stop at the ticket booth on the way to the lodge. You need to purchase tickets to go to Tikal if you did not get them ahead at Banrural Bank (required passport to buy tickets, tickets had my name in them). I took daytime tour and a sunrise tour and both were very good. Be aware that there will be a lot of walking and climbing stairs. Bring plenty of water. There are many bathrooms inside in case you worry about it. Have fun!

Gem in the Jungle
From pick up to drop off our stay was easy + relaxing. We made day-of reservations and even with the late night flight, the hotel picked us up from the airport just as described. We checked in and bags were taken to our cabin. Heat and humidity had a hold on us but the room was cooled slightly by the overhead fan. The mosquito netting over our bed seemed to be more for decoration than practicality though we did spot a few small buggy roommates over the three days - It's the jungle, afterall... The outdoor pool was nice + relaxing, even in December during a rain storm. All the staff we interacted with were professional, welcoming and friendly. Random things to note: Rolling electricity - The whole place is powered via generators - We appreciated this though it was a surprise. Wifi and cell service are only in the main building and at the pool. Try the restaurant and perhaps, skip the bar; our drinks were sweet and sugary but little lax on flavor + booze.

Excellent Stay. Out of the way, in a good way (except for a ten minute gravel road). It’s a total of 20 from the main road. Food was very hood, even for someone picky like me. Staff is stellar! Petra and Peter, leave nothing to chance, and checked with us several times to ensure all is well. Petra and Sylvia were super helpful in making tour/rental accommodations for us. As for excursion tours, we found that using their “in-house” tours made everything easier and more enjoyable. Splurge and Get a Cloud 9 room, you deserve it!

Eco lodge. Not a hotel.
The hotel was beautiful. And the location is perfect. But for the price, I couldn't believe how uncomfortable it was. No AC anywhere. No wifi in your rooms. Electricity only during select times (not at night). Screens do not keep mosquitos/bugs out. I think the electricity was the worst of all. We came home earlier one afternoon after Tikal but I couldn't charge my phone/camera because there was no electricity. I got sick/food poisoning on our last night and not being able to turn on the light in my room or bathroom was horrible. There are no phones in your room just in case you needed something from reception. You have to walk there in complete darkness with snakes and animals along the path. I'm not sure I'd stay here again because of the price. If the price matched the convenience I definitely would because it's beautiful.

Hot nights at Tikal
This is a lovely hotel. Unfortunately it was stiflingly hot the first night and with no ac I spent a miserable night. The ceiling fan in the room was unequal to the task . A lower oscillating fan would have done much better. The staff and dining room were excellent considering where we were. The management ought to provide every rom with a flash light since it is pitch black at night walking back to the cabins

Great experience
Great experience, almost feels like your camping in the jungle sleeping with howler monkeys in the background. It’s a 20min walk to the ruins and we opted for the sunset tour with a guide named Ruben. Best to get your guide when you arrive to the hotel rather than at the entrance gate. Also the pool here was amazing and the breakfast delicious. Highly recommend the Guatemalan style French toast!
