    Read the fine print !

Major road block to start our stay, when we originally booked this accommodation it was not indicated on the main booking site that you have to make arrangements if arriving after hours, there is no front desk at this lodge and the door was locked upon our arrival, we rang the doorbell, knocked and even left a message with the number indicated on the email and no response. We had to drive back into Whitehorse and rent another hotel room at a higher rate. We asked to speak to the manager and he/she was never available. Would like to be compensated for the night that we had to return to town! As for the remainder of the stay the room was very clean. Beautiful scenery and the one staff member on site was very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend this lodge to others but ensure you read the fine print !

    Good Experience

Different but overall a good experience. Enjoyed the shared kitchen - great idea. WiFi was pretty weak. Not really convient for eating out but manageable. Room was nice. Really liked the not-another-hotel atmosphere.

Property location off Alaaka Hwy is quite some distance from Whitehorse. Otherwise property is quiet for a good night's rest for weary travelers. Lack of interaction with staff after 4 PM with clear instructions for self checkin is a different experience. However, it's a lodge and not a hotel chain and acceptable.
