Squeaky floor and rattling ceiling lights
The location is great and room was clean. Everything was fine until someone above us started to relentlessly walking at middle of night for couple of hours and the next morning from 3:30am to 6am. There isn't any sound proof features. The wood floor above us squeaked and even the ceiling lights rattled. We hardly had any sleep that night. Absolutely not recommended!

A Welcoming, Warm Refuge
What a wonderful place to stay as we started out visit to Perú and Bolivia. The whole feeling of the hotel is welcoming and warm (with heat in every room), with staff available to help us in any way possible. The hotel design is lovely, as are the rooms. The location is outstanding - very close to the Plaza de Armas but not on the busiest streets or walkways so very tranquil and a great refuge from the intensity of Cusco.

Pros and cons
First the good. Convenient location to main downtown square and San Blas. Got the big room with the fireplace. Staff tries hard. Room was clean and well laid out. Breakfast was thoroughly average for buffet. Eggs to order(2 scrambled or friend) but no other hot dishes. Typical bread fruit and tea. Long opening times, 530 -10. Now the bad. Our room faced the street and even with ear plugs it was extremely noisy at all hours as any noise reverberates off of buildings on the narrow street. Little light in the room and we were unaware of the large skylight installed that made sleeping for me difficult after 530 am. Floor by beds is nearly rubber like and when anybody walks on it shakes the beds a lot. Be aware free airport transfers are for pick up only, we missed that.

If only every hotel was like this.....we miss it..
I can safely say that this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in in Peru. We loved it. We were lucky enough to have a large room which enabled our five year old to have lots of space to stay in. A fire place to keep us warm with the wood being replaced daily by the hotel. The beyond nice and helpful - they couldn't have been more accommodating. Hot water, spotless bathrooms, comfortable beds, clean rooms, perfect breakfast and ideal location. Right in the heart of it all......if only every hotel was like this......we miss it.
