Great host. Very welcoming. Easy walk to a local pub for dinner. Very good breakfast. Nice room. Really appreciated having two chairs, unlike many hotel rooms.

An excellent one-night stay, with great service
We came for just one night (along with another couple in another room), to see an RSC production. It was our first stay at Moss Cottage. We were treated with great courtesy, as if we were old friends, and great professionality. That spanned tea and cake on arrival, through advice on walking routes, parking, restaurants with good pre-theatre menus, and some new elements amongst the town's visitor attractions, to a fine breakfast (including the marmalade, of course -- 'date and coffee' was a revelation). We were even contacted promptly about the phone charger we left behind. We enjoyed the blog of reviews on RSC productions, too. The room, its bed and facilities, and the bathroom were all first-rate. Thanks, Bill (and Peter) -- we'll be back, I'm sure.

Fantastic little gem
This B&B is perfect. Clean warm and the breakfast are excellent. Home made jams are to die for, even brought some home. Bill is the friendly and welcoming. He provided us with all the information/recommendations we needed. We will definitely stay here again if we visit the area in the future

A friendly and comfortable place to stay
Bill is friendly, chatty and a great host. The location is perfect for an easy walk into the centre with all the history it has to offer. The hotel provides a comfortable, clean en-suite room. The rubber duck is a nice touch! Tea on arrival was gratefully received as was the lovely breakfast including a delicious breakfast trifle. We really enjoyed our stay :)
