I found best options in the same neighborhood.

Only complaint would be to check-in earlier when possible! Waiting in the heat/humidity is terrible!

Awesome pod experience
Great place, right in the middle of the Quay, some pods (the ones closer to the street might get noisy, you have free ear plugs for that), so try to ask for an inner pod. Great Breakfast area, wifi, and facilities....

My adventure turned out great
I'd never stayed in a hostel, and I'm way older than the other guests, but I'd spend another week staying there if I go back to Singapore. It's a hostel, not a five-star hotel, but when you remember that, they're impressive. Here's what I learned. The carpet on the stairs going in, is pretty worn, and that's the last thing you see that's not in perfect condition. The pods are serviceable. The beds are just mattresses, but I slept on them for seven nights, and they worked. I had two medium duffle bags, one rolling, and neither totally stuffed, but both fit into the locker I was assigned. The pod had a small safe. The only awkward thing was that you hang your towel outside your pod to dry - putting up towel bars on the walls would make more sense. The staff were absolute rock stars. I watched one person at the desk check in a girl from Korea who spoke no English. What a patient guy! And his local recommendations usually included ideas about prices for kids on a budget. This is upstairs from a pub in a row of restaurants. Noise was an issue one night, but I lived, and not the other six nights. If you care, ask for a third floor pod in the back. Their desk is open 10 am to 10 pm, but if you message them on, they can check you in after hours and give you a keypad code to let yourself in. Really, message them about anything. They're really helpful.
