While the postings said that housekeeping would be provided every third day, they did not clean my room. It was not a major issue, but I expected my trash to be emptied mid week. Overall the room was ok, but it is an old property that showed its age. The value was good and the employees were friendly.

Breakfast was nice and with some hot foods. However, the dining area was overcrowded with people ( unsure if all of the people were hotel guests as numbers of them were in workman’s clothing and arriving in pickup trucks). So many people were enjoying this “complimentary “ breakfast that we were unable to find any seating…..other problems in summary: toilet 12-14 inches from floor- much too low especially for over 65. Microwave also positioned nearly on the floor and all its controls in French so again not usable for most US guest over 65. The drapes for the room window would not close fully leaving about 6-8 inches of no privacy. ( as a work around we were able to use a safety pin probably left by a previous guest ). Shower/ tub would not drain and needed obvious plumbing services. The bath towels were a welcome exception to the poor/ condition of both inside and outside the room. We will not repeat a stay as there are many other hotel choices in this same nice location along the river and falls.

Upon arrival we sat that they were remodeling the lobby caution tape on front door. Had to call the front desk to find out checkin was next door at a different hotel. Was told at checkin to use their facilities for breakfast. Had to change rooms on the spot.they gave us a 2nd floor room and we need lower level. Our room had some minor issues, bathroom floor had muddy footprints all over, toilet needed to be fulshed 2 or 3 times, every use, extreamly slow. Door knob to bathroom ready to fall off. Pool was not usable because the bottom and sides looked like black mold and water was freezing cold. Bed was great. Heat and AC worked great. Besides the bathroom the room was clean. Don't plan on using this hotel again as there are others cheeper and more apeling. We choise this one for location. Bad choice.
