Our twin bedded room was functional, clean and did the job. thankfully the air conditioning worked perfectly! The location was great - number 4 bus served us very well. Don’t forget to get your free bus pass from reception and be ready to leave a deposit for a hairdryer.

I struggled a little with connecting to the internet. The floor I was on was being renovated. and the beds slid around on the floor too easily. The staff were wonderful and helpful, the room was clean. The breakfast was excellent value, and the location was very accessible to the trainstation and central bus lines.

Found a used band-aid stuck between the bed sheets. Rooms were set up for 3 people we only received 3 bath towels; no hand towels. They do not have hair dryers in the room; you can check one out at the front desk for a $20 Deposit. Not sure if they only have one as I had to share the dryer with my sister in a different room since they did not have another one for my room. The gal at the front desk working in the afternoon/evening was not friendly at all. She tried to charge me for an item I had purchased much cheaper down the road at the gas station. The gentleman that worked at the same time was very friendly and helpful. They charge for EVERYTHING at this place, coffee pods, luggage storage. They did have a convenient bus stop right in front of the property that was a short ride to the main train station.

Clean rooms. Reasonable price for the amenities you get. They only have a handsoap and toilet papers as your amenities. Hair dryer would need a deposit to borrow. Bus stop right in front. Don't plan to walk from the train station with your luggages as it is on an uphill. Compared to hotels around the area charging crazy amount for a night, this hotel provided clean, comfortable bed for a reasonable price. One negative was that the shower temperature would fluctuate from getting cold then to super hot then warm and cold again.

The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were good. I slept very well here. The breakfast was good, as long as you are not gluten free. Had to ask for bread which is ok I don’t mind that, but it was like it was a chore to be asked. When it says budget it is budget. It is like a lower class Travelodge for the British among the readers. There is no kettle or fridge in the room, I do think there is room for both. You get hot water from downstairs, but sometimes there were no cups. If you ask the staff they are not always very helpful or maybe I just asked the wrong ones. There was no milk or teabags or coffee to go with the hot water. There is a supermarket next door. It is a 15 minutes walk from the train station. The area is safe, female solo traveller. If you arrive before check in you have to pay 3CHF per bag, to leave your bag. There is no charge on leaving. There is a bus right outside the door so you can use your city pass for this, you get it free at check in. I do think some amenities could be added and some staff need some staff training in customer service.

This is a good, basic hotel stay. The staff were helpful and the room was small but met our needs. It was very hot in Lucerne when we visited and the AC could not quite keep up, but we were happy to have some AC. Most importantly, take the #4 bus from the train station! We walked from the train station because the distance did not seem far and ended up in some confusing underground train / bike tunnels. Your hotel reservation doubles as a bus pass and we took the bus all over Lucerne quite easily.
