Beautiful boutique hotel, close to the beach. The room we stayed in we could hear people walking across the floor above But wasn’t a massive issue. Staff all very lovely

The grounds to the hotel even with it being so close to the main road are beautiful. The staff here are so attentive, professional, and welcome you with warmth. We only stayed a night but you can tell that they go above and beyond for all their guests. We stayed in the grand national room and it was stunning cannot fault it in anyway. The attention to detail with the decor around the hotel is flawless and the decor too. We would most definitely come back to staying here again, the hotel is beautiful

beautiful hotel
This is our second visit to derby manor and we had another enjoyable stay. Veronica was lovely and very helpful. Rooms are lovely however this time there was quite a lot of noise from property next door. Would definitely recommend this hotel. My only suggestion would be more than 1 member of staff looking after reception and the bar

Excellent individual hotel
I have stayed in the Bournemouth area on business for some years now. I must say a lot of the well known hotels are getting tired and faceless. My wife and I tried the Manor on a recommendation and wasn’t disappointed. The hotel is a boutique hotel and all the rooms appeared different. Teresa who checked us in was extremely helpful. We will stay there agaIn as my wife loved it. Ample parking, great breakfast and bar Highly recommended

Nice but confusing
Was a really nice room. Left key out as i was late checking in. However i could hear next door having a shower and it made a loud noise so that kept me awake for an hour. Room was immaculate. I was reading the hotel guide and it said breakfast was free however i got charged 9.95 for breakfast after paying 40 for the room. It said i only paid 33 on the receipt. Was a bit annoyed and this ruined my stay completely. Was in a rush so i just paid it. Breakfast was nice however but i think the hotel guide needs changing as it days breakfast is included in the room price.

Disappointing experience - otherwise a great hotel
I booked the Executive Goodwood Suite. Decor & quality of furnishings was excellent but immediately on entry I reported to the receptionist who escorted us to the room that the room was “freezing”. All radiators were at the minimum setting. It was a cold December night, the bed sheets actually felt damp. The receptionist suggested we turn up the radiators. The room had warmed up within 30 minutes and we dined out that evening. On returning around 11pm all radiators were off again and it was cold - the Reception was closed. No heating all night despite the radiators being now at the highest setting - in fact the next time we experienced any sign that radiators were working was after we returned from breakfast. There was also an extraordinary amount of noises at the time we were trying to get to sleep, of waste pipes flushing through and banging (seemingly contracting) plus the heavy rain hitting the roof lights. More like bring in a caravan. So in conclusion, considering I’d chosen the most expensive available suite this was so disappointing & frustrating- the breakfast was excellent & so was the ambience of all communal areas. The Manager has subsequently phoned & offered a discount against a future booking which I have accepted - but I will definitely choose a different room! If only the room could be heated it would be more welcoming!
