Great stay if different in these times, staff great explained everything when I arrived so I knew all covid rules are in place to keep me and others safe 😷👍,room was lovely and fresh,if you needed anything you just had to ask and the staff were so helpful,so you always felt safe staying,, when out and about in Whitby I felt safe going into shops as all covid rules in place, if I did start to feel uneasy walking round I could just go back to the black horse and feel safe in my room and have a cup of tea and relax for a while until I felt okay to go back out,but I must say had a great stay at black horse hopefully can stay again may have to be next year but that would be my first choice to stay thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay in these hard times 🤗 and stay safe x

Staying at The Black Horse Inn in the heart of Whitby was a real treat. The staff were friendly, the beds were comfy, the bathroom and showers were great; plenty of hot water. We had a generous bag of snacks and drinks in the room. They took Covid-19 guidelines seriously, so we felt safe.

As a resident would have expected just to be able to go to our room and not have to queue with customers just going for a drink.no mention that they would not be cleaning rooms each day or refill of coffee tea etc .Due to no parking at the property would have been nice to be informed that parking was an added expensive daily cost

room was a little small for a double but as i was on my own it was perfectly adequate. bit noisy in the morning church bells and seagulls but that is only to be expected in a seaside town excellent location otherwise

The location is fantastic and in the middle of everything. Generally no noise from locals and visitors at night ,however as the windows are single pane you hear the gulls and lorries/bin men in the morning. The staff are super nice and they are doing everything they can to keep people safe. We found the room could be quite cold in the night and we had problems with the heating . Also, we stayed in the Endeavour, the double bed was very comfy which I shared with my 21 month child . However , the single wasn't comfy and sloped to one side, causing my partner to not sleep well. Due to the big gap between the wall and the bed though, our little one wouldn't have been able to sleep on it. All in all we enjoyed ourself and would go again, we would just do things slightly different .

Very frienbly and welcoming atmosphere it felt like home. There was a goody bag in the room for us with bottles of water, crisps, biscuits and porridge which was a nice touch.
