A real gem of a hotel!
My husband and I stayed at the Broadview when we came to Toronto to see the opera for the first time in 4 years. What a treat! We had a King Corner room and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The record player added a fun element to the stay and a bottle of wine was a nice perk of being a VIP member of Hotels.com! We dined at the Rooftop before the opera and the views were spectacular, the cocktails tasty and the food was served promptly. The food was good, but we found that it was a lot of deep-fried options. Breakfast the next day at the Bistro was amazing; I opted for the chicken and waffles, and my husband had a regular bacon-and-eggs breakfast. Coffee was excellent. We did call to see about the lights above the bed that did not work, and they sent someone to fix the issue within 5 min. Service at the front desk was friendly and prompt. I would describe the neighbourhood as "up-and-coming": there are a few nice restaurants and bars in the area. The streetcar stop is just steps away so it's convenient to go downtown. Great place, and I would highly recommend it!

8/10 Very good

The room was comfortable and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Harsh weather cased us to be in the room more than normal and we found the tv reception to be poor and channel selection poor.

Awful stay
The stay was okay until we realized that somehow while we went out to dinner someone went into the room. Left the lights on, poured water into our cups and fixed the curtains
