  • 8.0.Very Good

This hotel has 2 sets of rooms in adjacent buildings. The fist time we stayed here they put us in a room that was opened to a public court yard, it was so noisy that we didn't get much sleep. The second time we got a room in the main hotel and it was a beautiful very quiet large room. Some amenities don't work that well, our tv the second day didn't work, and the showers aren't great. But internet is good. I wouldn't do laundry with them, it's quite expensive and we got back 3 shirts that were not ours and they lost some pairs of socks of ours without apology or discount. Reception is 24hrs and staff is very friendly.

A beautiful, stylish, quaint yet very affordable hotel in a historic building in the heart of Cuzco. Located on one of the oldest streets of Cuzco, Loreto, right off the central square Plaza de Armas. Some of the rooms contain historic Inca walls made by master masons five centuries ago. The staff are professional and extremely helpful. Karina, Alberto and the rest of the staff made our stay very easy and pleasant. A special thank you to Senor Samir Ahmad, who was a great source of support and information on every topic. We felt well taken care of. As soon as we arrived, suffering somewhat from altitude sickness, we were given complimentary tea of coca leaves (mate de coca) that helps eliminate the symptoms. There is an oxygen tank in the lobby available to the clients free of charge for the same purpose. When we left for 4 days to hike Machu Picchu, the hotel kept out luggage safe, free of charge. At the time of arrival and departure, the hotel ordered a licensed, very reasonably-priced taxi for us. Overall, we can't say enough about our stay at Yabar. It was our home away from home in the amazing city of Cuzco. We miss this place and would definitely go back.

Awesome hotel in the heart of Cusco! They arranged for cabs to pick us up at the airport and Samir met us on the street when we arrived! They were very welcoming and friendly and Angela helped us book an excursion on a double decker bus! They held our bags for us while we did the Salkantay and Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Our first room has part of the Incan wall in our room which was super unique. It is an older vintage hotel so the floors are squeeky, we were there on Easter, we were in the heart of the action with the parades and night life. We could hear people in the night and woke up to the fireworks in the morning but we loved the atmosphere! Highly recommend this hotel because of the location, character and lovely staff!

To start off with, the wrong address was given for the hotel. When checking in everything was great. Room was cleab and spacious. We had a few issues with the room and yes they did come to fux certain things but also looked annoyed because we asked. The last time we asked for help they just didnt rock up. Rooms were cleaned everyday and bathroom items replaced too Over all the stay was good. Just a few minor details that didnt hit right.

It all started with a warm welcome from Nohely the girl at the reception, she was very respectful, unformative, attentive, the room was very cozy it had all what we needed even fruit a heater in case it gets cold at night. The breakfast in the morning was really good..fruit, bread, yogurt, coffee, they'll make your eggs the way you want them, ham ,butter and some other things just to start the day right. We had a chance to talk to Mrs. Hilda and Mr. Henry the owners and they treated us as if we were family they the story of the hotel and made our stay memorable and grateful, we also had a chace to talk to Mr. Sahmir Ahmad he is one of the best employees at the hotel we called for ice at the reception and he brought it to us wit a cake " what a wonderful surprise" he also use to make tea for us and treated us with respect and honesty... Yabar hotel is the best option if you are gonna visit Cusco.

The architecture is one of a kind, the floors are squeaky but that’s what you expect from a building dating back to the 1600. Over all our stay was the on point.
