Worst experience ever! Please Do Not Go There!
We are a very easy going family and have been to so many resorts in Mexico and Caribbean and always had a pleasant and fantastic experience. Royalton Blue Waters is the worst resort I've ever seen and this not just my opinions, every single family we spoke, they were unsatisfied! We paid for the Luxury Suite Ocean View, 2 Queen bed and a Sofa bed. After a long connecting flight from Bay Area, we arrived at 6:45pm at the resort, front desk immediately said your room is not ready tonight, we have a king size bed room for you in a different tower! I was like we have two teenagers, how could we fit in there, she replied well we'll bring you a rolling bed! I asked why our room is not ready since we got here few hours after normal checking time, she said the TV is broken, i said it's ok we're not here to watch the TV, then she's like no there's another issue with the room!(didn't specify that). I asked for the manager, she went to the back to check then she said the manager is gone for today! I was like it's only 7pm! How come there's no person in charge in this huge resort! Finally they gave us 2 bed room not Ocean view and moved us to the room we booked the next day. In the morning after breakfast (11:30am) we went to the pool and ask for towels, NO TOWELS! I was like what do you mean?! They said well there's a shortage, come before 8am to get towels! I hadro pay tips to one of the worker to go find me 2 towels. I'm getting out of characters to explain the other issues!

We stayed March 2023…Our room butlers Shawn and Lavardo were excellent and very easy to work with. Maria was our awesome beach server and became our friend for the week taking very good care of all us. Housekeeping missed us 1 day and we had no room refill service for 2 days. Overall, our stay was excellent.

Pros: the huge walk in shower with 2 rainfall heads, and the big jacuzzi tub. Plenty of pools. Nice beach. Lots of entertainment for kids. Cons: hard to get into any restaurants. Learned you have to be lined up before 6 pm to get into. The only reservation place, you had to be in line by 6-6:30 AM to get your name down. Very windy, every day. Hard to so much swimming on the beach with the big waves. Service was so slow. Out of our 7 days, the last day was the only day we finally would have given 5/5 stars. Something definitely changed. We went from being ignored, staff wasn't super friendly and not much for food options to a total turnaround the last day. Our room had a leak in the ceiling that was never dealt with. Food was mediocre. Don't get me wrong, we still had a great time! If we go back to Jamaica, I would go back to Iberostar, and spend the extra money, before returning here.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff (except from front desk) was great. The vibe team was nice, bartenders were great and the staff in buffet was AMAZING.. But everything else was horrible. I reserved a double bed and when I got there they gave me a King Bed and didn't think to mention it. When questioned they stated that you can give room preferences' but it is not guaranteed. We had to get a roll away bed and the bed was rusted, old and dirty. For as much as we spent, this was really upsetting. The water was frozen in the entire resort. The jacuzzi/whirlpool spa was not heated. Couldnt even enjoy the luxury swim out pool bc the water was freezing. The food at every restaurant was cold. Room service food was cold and whenever you try to get in any other restaurant other than the buffet, you had to wait forever. The property was beautiful from the pictures, but it was a real let down. I will not be returning sadly. I wanted to like it so bad it was just a let down.

This hotel had No hot water, no working ac and no working mini fridge. The ceiling leaked in my friends room. The dinners were mediocre and the drinks tasted of rubbing alcohol. We went to the staff multiple times to ask what could be done about our water, ac and mini fridge. They did nothing for us. Every time we asked they apologized and said that it would be fixed the following day. Nothing was ever fixed. At the end of our stay we tried yet one more time to see what could be done. The hotel staff offered to reimburse us for 2 nights if we signed a form and gave them our checking account information. When we asked the monetary value of those 2 nights they said they didn’t know the dollar amount that would be reimbursed. This was a huge red flag for us. After reading the form they wanted us to sign we realized that they were asking us to sign a NonDisclosure Agreement. This hotel knew the hot water was not in working order, they knew their ac was not working and they did not make us aware ahead of time. They kept pushing it off. I spoke with at least 4 different hotel guests not including my friends and they were offered the same thing.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
BEWARE! DO NOT STAY HERE! No hot water for the entire stay. No AC for the first two days. They were aware of both at check-in and made no mention of it. Noone seemed to care and the only answer we ever got was "it is being worked on". Every single time that it was brought to the staff attention (and we talked to 10 different people) they seemed as if they were just learning of the issues from us. THIS WAS NOT TRUE. This place should be ashamed of themselves and they are not to Marriott Autograph standards. Again, STAY ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!

Rooms were clean. Property was nice. Food was not very good and staff was not very engaging. Shows were very poor, not much effort put into the shows. Beach was nice but a little wind caused some big waves but maybe that’s true for all of the area. I would probably not go back.
