Great location. Easy walking distance to most of the attractions eg Central Station 10 min walk, Anne Franks 10 min walk, Royal Palace 1 min walk, Madame Toussards 5 min walk. Staff was very helpful - booked taxi for us on last day and gave us a coffee while we waited. Complementary breakfast was a little bare but was okay.

Fair 4.0
Let’s be fair...the owner is probably trying to renovate as much as he can but room by room. So carpet needs to be changed in stairways and hallways and in our room (number 20) more than urgently as you almost feel the dirt when you walk on it. We had problems with bug beds in 1 of the beds (go figure) but I have pictures of it. Was planned to stay for 2 nights but of course got the hell out after one. Never complained to the staff because the hotel is in a bar (very local feeling) and bar staff attends hotel duties so did not expect anything from it. Breakfast is close to nul...do not expect any smile or service if you tell them you are a hotel guest (maybe I was just plain unlucky...?). Plenty of other nicer hotels around...

Very central location. Just what you need. As you only need a base it’s great. Would recommend it though.

Poor 2.0
Say no to room 20
Shocking hotel, no lift up the top floor stairs very small and windy. Room was freezing, the windows need to be changed they were rattling and heavy curtains were blowing with the wind. Breakfast meant to be included and I wa stole it wasn’t and paid for 1 morning. Beds so uncomfortable and there is bed bugs in them too very bad :-( The noise level in the hotel is shocking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I didn't even know my room had heat until midway through my stay, and even then I couldn't access it. The room I had was quite small, but the bathroom was spacious. A pleasant breakfast buffet is available.

not bad at all
For a 1 star hotel, it’s not bad at all. If you’re looking to just sleep on a bed with a decent bathroom/toilet with good shower facilities then this hotel is all you need. Be aware though if you are looking to go as a couple, the double beds are not comfortable enough to cuddle or spoon as the two singles beds keep splitting apart. There’s no tea/coffee in the rooms but a bar and restaurant downstairs which is pretty good.
