Would stay again
Man at the desk was very helpful, room had some updates but the hotel still has an older feel to it. Currently no cable tv and breakfast was a juicebox and muffins. Lots of free parking. Overall, for the price, it was a good quiet stay.

Very Good 8.0
Was staying here for 4 days and I’m from out of province so was spending majority of my time in the room. But due to corona the hotel cancelled their cable to in the whole hotel! Which I was unaware of when I booked so had not much of anything to do the whole time I was there. Wouldn’t have booked if I knew the tv wasn’t working. Staff was friendly, not very good English and the manager was less than obliging as we asked for a room upgrade since we had nothing to do in the room and she declined without reason

Good Price
We were in middle of moving so needed a place for the night. It was around midnight when we checked in. The young gentleman was efficient and kind. Took the time to look for a charger since I misplaced mine. Gave us our breakfast in advance since we had to leave early. (Muffin, juice box, and a mandarin orange). Including tax we paid $80.00cad. It’s an older hotel so you can smell that. The room and bed were large. The bathtub was huge. Could use a better shower head. The heater/ac was loud but it worked awesome. Cable TV was down. We had to call down for soap as it was missing and we noticed some gaps in the cleanliness. All in all considering the price a comfortable room and bed.

Hotel needs better maintenance
The building is not being well maintained which lead to the bathroom having multiple problems with poor lighting, loose toilet seat, a shower with poor temperature control. The "breakfast" was downgraded to a "to go breakfast" usually consisting of a small orange, tiny juice box, and tiny scone or muffin. The adjacent pub was replaced by an Asian restaurant and was closed every day. A homeless person was camped at the end of the parking lot in the bushes beside the hotel. For coffee the room had 3 packets of inexpensive coffee but 2 of them were decaf. When I asked for more regular coffee they couldnt find any. Another factoid - it's been years since I saw a bar of soap the size of a toonie, but I found it here. On the plus side the price point at $70 is right, & electric car charging is a great fearture to have. Everyone should include this! The staff were helpful & pleasant. Another important point - the room had a window one could open for ventilation, which is a nice thing to have during the coronavirus. I'd say this is a 2 Star hotel right now, but could easily be brought back to a 3.5 with a little effort. I realize we're in the middle of a pandemic but I'm sure with a little effort travellers could be provided with better value for money.
