We got upgraded to the Crosswaters Resort so I can't specifically say how Mount Kids was. It did seem to be very family friendly so I'm glad we were moved as we went for a couples retreat.

Mount Kidd Manor 👎
The room was $322 per night, we were unable to check in till 4pm and have to check out by 11am, thats only 19 hours, not even a full day stay. The rooms were run down and old, this room at best is only worth $150 per night. In room amenities were sub standard. Check in arrangements were very difficult and confusing in the dark. Would not recommend.

Stay was great. Room was very spacious. Bathroom was in rough condition and several lights were either burned out or unplugged. Biggest downer is no breakfast room service. Front desk check in/out was perfect.

Book one of the newer buildings in the resort
Mount Kidd manor rooms are horrifying. The photos on hotels.com are a far stretch from the rooms you get when you arrive. Cross waters resort where you check in is beautiful. We were looked after by the manager Liam and he gave us a much nicer room in cross water resort. We will 100% come back to the resort but just won’t book in Mount Kidd!

I stayed at Mount Kidd Manor in September. The temperature outside was right around 5 degrees. We arrived at our room and it was incredibly hot. The thermostat read over 30 degrees. We turned off the heater, turned off the fireplace and left out balcony door open for two straight days and 2 straight nights. The entire time the room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. The TV in our room did not work. I called the front desk 3 times over the course of our stay. Nobody ever came to the room to even have a look at the TV. Upon checkout the Manager decided to give me a refund of $$100 for my resort fee. I spent $1100 on rooms and resort fees and all they could do after our stay was refund $100. The resort is absolutely beautiful, the food is good but pricey, you are 100% paying for the location. I would recommend that if you are going to stay at the resort, book one of the other more expensive hotels.

I checked in at Crosswaters. Went to the Kidd and push the button for the elevator. Didn’t come down. So I walked up the extra flight of stairs. Went to our room and it smelled! Wentto the elevator to go down. It went down but missed )1/;2 inches

Lovely setting in the mountains. Short walking trails for viewpoints. For food, choice of dining room, casual, pub, sandwiches, snacks. Loved Bighorn Highway heading south.

We'll be back!
Very nice stay, the property is gorgeous! The room itself was quiet and clean, but pretty dark. Could use an update but the grounds and restaurants were gorgeous and we were please to be able to have our dog with us, that made up for the older room!

Poor 2.0
Room was small not enough chairs, party of 4 with only 2 chairs. Assured parking for a trailer that took almost 2 hrs to secure. Rugs old, worn, torn. Washroom door would not close as toilet to large. No in house front desk service kept getting locked out of rooms with over 1.5 hr wait for keys to be delivered to us or walk to different hotel to get new keys. Would not be an issue if only happened once or twice, but on 3rd occasion I was told "thank you for making it easier for us". when we had no time to wait for key to be delivered to access a room we are paying over $300 a night so agreed to walk again to alternative hotel again, to get new keys to access our room. Check out staff member was cold curt. Last chance to wow a guest miserably failed. Would never recommend Kananaskis Village. Stay in Canmore it's close enough to enjoy the beauty of Kananaskis
