I was a guest in the Amelia Santiago hotel from Jan. 18- Jan. 19 2020. room # 803. My reservation was booked with Expedia.com. Since the card that was used for the reservation was an American VISA, it couldn’t be used as a deposit in the hotel. I covered the other expenses such as food in the hotel with cash. The personal never gave me any receipt for my expenses. I was under the impression that the manager at the restaurant “ La Casona” on the night buffet kept my money for her personal interest and didn’t report it to the hotel sales.
She told me that I had to pay $45 for 3 persons. When I finished eating, I asked the waiter for the restaurant note. He said that the restaurant’s manager told him that we didn’t have to pay because we qualified as offer guests. On my way out of the restaurant, the manager told me that we had to pay there. She didn’t provide me with the receipt after I paid.
At the Italian restaurant restaurant by the pool, it was the same story. We paid for food and the cashier didn’t gave us any source of receipt.
Seeing how the hotel staff plays with the consumers to take advantage of the situation. Represented a stressful situation for me as a guest.
