Dashwood Manor Seaside Bed & Breakfast, Victoria

Great stay, friendly staff, made booking as it had a spa tub. It looked like spa tub but no jets. Just regular bath tub. Hotels.com should amend the search parameter.

Amazing ocean view, comfy king-size bed. The included breakfast was marvellous! The hostess was so nice! Close proximity for seaside walks, Beacon Hill Park. Do go for an ice-cream cone at Beacon Drive-In, the creamiest! Close to downtown Victoria and Fisherman's Wharf. Loved the old home charm!

Beautiful views, charming heritage home right down by the water. Lots of variety to eat at nearby. Great little area.

Stayed for a brief trip to Victoria and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bed very comfortable and room very nice.

The best thing about the hotel is its location with lovely views across the sea to the snow-capped Olympus mountains. I was surprised that at nearly $300/night there was no overnight staff (noone from 6.0pm). Also, thank goodness the room next to us was empty two out of the three nights, because when the shower was used it was do loud and sounded like it was in our room. Breakfast is fixed but I asked for something different the last morning and the staff were happy to oblige. The muffin and apple turnover were store-bought, not much taste and glutinous. The service was slow if there were more than three tables occupied. Overall, although the staff were good and room comfortable, I felt the hotel was over-priced and living off the fact it was old.
