I think it should not have been that much
We had to change rooms because it was not what we paid for dirty no view bathroom was very small no where to put anything shower was so small no shelves or any soap it was a cheap room and we booked a better room with king bed on the 20th floor which cost more.supposed to have a room with a view of times square like it said we changed the room which was beautiful but had to pay 258.19 to get the room we should have had

Don’t be fooled by the lobby image. Waste of money
Terrible waste of money. $600 for two nights for the top floor / 22nd. What a waste. No view. PARKING $175 ! And my SUV’s TIRE WAS FLAT. Pretty new tires. FLAT! even the guys who work in the garage said people only complain about this hotel. Should have stayed at the smaller one next door !! Ugh. Only good thing about staying here is the location. That’s it. The rooms are horribly outdated. Ceiling and walls have clumps of material coming up and off. So so dirty. Do they actually clean the rooms ? Multiple lamps don’t work. Windows still have everyone’s hand prints. Ac falling apart. Phone did not work. Not even plugged in.. The bathroom , omg. Tissues on the floor. No hand towels, wash cloths, or hand soap. The shower soaps 🙄 definitely not what is advertised. So much rust and mold in the shower. Dirty floor. Be scared of the elevators. They shake and make a lot of noise. Avoid the middle one. The doors open while in transit. Could not make that up!! They are doing renovations? They didn’t tell us that. So 6:30 am .. knocking / hitting / hammering sounds start. They should close the hotel down. Do all the repairs, renovations, and cleaning - then reopen and charge the fees they charge. $40+ extra charge for “resort fee”, resort where ? W t h. & no refunds once booked so you’re stuck!

Check in says 4pm, I got there at 4:45pm and was told still did not have a room. When I did finally get a room, there were bugs on the pillow, one bit my daughter. There were no towels in room, overall hotel is just old

Hotel was ok but very tired and basic. Photos not really representative. Horrible old carpets, lifts take an age, could really do with a thorough upgrade and refresh. Service at the cafe and the bellboys was excellent though.

DO NOT STAY HERE
Do not stay at The Manhattan! They will make you check out of your room every single day, and I suspect are running some sort of scheme. I was not the only person in the lobby I saw dealing with this, and when I went to stay at another nearby hotel, the reception agent at that hotel said they have people relocating from The Manhattan multiple nights a week and implied the hotel is double dipping by making people check out so it can sell "unused" rooms to the city to house the homeless. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
