Traveling with a friend in Europe. Novo Avani Rio was our big splurge. The staff was nice. The room adequate and location good. The big negative was the bathroom flooded into the hall of bedroom when the shower was used. We reported to the front desk who said that maintenance would and did fix. Not true. Avoid Room 120! Mopping not on my European agenda.

Lucrecia made it from great to exellent

I booked this hotel 4 months ago. First thing that attracted me was that this property was pet friendly. Upon entering the hotel, i waa surprised. My expectations really exceeded. Not only it was immaculately clean and wonderful decorated.; but it staff was super friendly. Miss Lucrecia checked us in late after a long train ride. She took care of us inmediatly and provided us additional hotel services by putting my family in a connecting room. Their rooms are clean and modern. Beds are confortable and huge space for clothe. Their breakfast was delicious. Infinitive choices of buffet breakfast food and drinks. I felt safe and take care of on every level.

The location was very close to the drop off center, so it was quick to locate. The room was clean and staff was very pleasant. We were there for only a brief time, but the location was quieter than some of the others we walked past. You had to walk farther for shopping, but the area is so amazing you don't mind. They do not have a business center so if that is a necessity, just be aware.

The staff at the front desk was so nice and professional. The hotel is lovely, anything we needed - extra towels, tissues- was delivered to the room quickly. Room was very clean, everything was perfect. Will stay again!

The Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel is nicely located close to the train station. It’s a bit far from Piazza San Marco, but we did not mind. Our room was on the second floor, facing the back of the hotel, and we did mind the noise (loud talking/screaming) coming from the hotel staff, during the early hours of the morning, as they entered the back door/loading door of the property—unnecessary noise, and complete disregard for the wellbeing of the guests. In Addition, the reception staff was not very nice, and did not seem to care for the guests—a feeling we did not get anywhere else in Italy during this trip or others. But, our room was clean, spacious, had good natural light, and it was comfortable.

This was the best hotel that we stayed at during our 11 day Italy tour. The hotel room is nice and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good. Check in was pleasant and the staff was accommodating. We will stay there again when we return to Venice.

Nice modern hotel. Friendly staff. One issue, the windows are not sealed well, so you can hear everything from outside the hotel. The hotel has a patio outside, so when people would drink late at night all the sound would come into the room as if there was no window there at all. Maybe this is something that can be corrected. Otherwise a really excellent hotel. Super modern and nice.
