    Relaxing weekend away

The customer service was outstanding. I was emailed ahead of time by the owner to give suggestions on how to make my stay better. The area was beautiful and so peaceful. My boys loved the campfire and we loved the access to bbqs. Preparing our own food was a money saver. We had a great stay.

Me and my family had a great stay. The place is so relaxing. You can hear the water from the river behind the inn. Chose this place because they allow pets for a small fee. The room and bed sheets are clean. The room might need a bit update but not a big deal since we are out the whole day doing some sight seeing around the area.

    Not Worth the Money!

This place needs a major face lift! Our room was very small and cramped. Everything from the doors not closing properly, to the windows that needed propping open with a block of wood made the visit disappointing. Simple basic amenities were missing like toiletries, closet, and dresser. There was a very small fridge, coffee maker and mugs but no microwave! The AC was a makeshift window one that was so old and loud that we had to unplug it to sleep at night. The owner claims you can swim on the property but to get to the mini swimming hole, you had to walk downhill through a series of broken branches and felled trees. This property is very run down and is depending on the surrounding area's amenities (public beach down the road, local restaurants and stores, and the beauty of this region) to survive. We stayed the night because there were no other places available; however, never again. BTW... the site picture is of the owner's home not the inn.

Dwight riverside Inn. We stayed three nights in the cedar cabin. It’s a nice setting, however the property is run down, with aggressive overgrown brush growth all around our cabin. Filthy conditions inside. Under the couch in the main room has not been cleaned since who knows when. We awaken each day to mouse droppings all over the kitchen counter, kitchen table, and stove top. I set four mouse traps the second night, and they were full within an hour of going to bed. I gave up on the last night, and woke to more mouse droppings. I have photos if anyone doubts me. The place could be so much nicer if some effort went in to upkeep. The local beach was vert nice, and we rented a canoe and paddled up the Oxtongue River to a beautiful waterfall. We also had a nice supper at the Deerhurst Resort, which is where we will stay if we ever return to the area. Overall rating of the area.....9/10 Cedar cabin setting and ambience...6/10 Would I stay in the cabin again.....NO

We stayed here for two nights to explore nearby Algonquin park. A wonderful place, beds were very comfortable and clean. The newly renovated bathroom super nice and was a highlight for me. Also appreciated new window air conditioner., and windows you can actually open to hear the rushing river there. Yes, Perhaps the best part about this simple, on one level inn, is the pristine river directly behind the inn, rapids fall into a delightful swimming hole/ lagoon.with smooth flat rocks. Exquisiteness. Excellent for kids, cause each room looks out onto a huge lawn surrounded by gardens. There is even a wishing well and Pond! Really great, welcoming staff. Also, good privacy, as so much space. Plenty of areas to eat outside, Only thing that could make it better for me would be new bbqs,in the covered patio patio area. A real hidden gem. Definitely will be back.

This rather like a motel with less amenities. We booked this place because of the many good reviews, but after staying there
