Wabasca Dreaming!
I just got back from an 8 day trip to Seattle and northern Washington and southern Bc and this was a better experience then all 5 hotels we stayed in. The room was amazing, the breakfast was good too.

The hotel room was great. Clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. You are limited to restaurants, because this is a small community. All in all I would recommend.

I don’t like bashing hotels. But in this circumstance I need to share. Upon check in into my room. I always do a pre check of everything, the pillows, the blankets, look around the sides of the bed, notice if there are any droppings in there (pests). Just my usually check. When you find a used condom wrapper, a used bandaid, and garbage behind the head board and beside the bed. That’s the first red flag to GTFO. Then I checked the blankets. Found multiple stains on the sheets, so I check the whole mattress. The actual mattress was filthy (yuck). I call front desk, inform them of the situation. He didn’t take my concern seriously at first. “Because he checked it” before I went in. So I pull out my phone and show him the images of the condom and bandaid. I have a friend living there thank goodness cause all the other hotels were booked up. I thought I’d give this place a chance cause it had a restaurant in the lobby. I don’t think I’ll return here. I didn’t like the atmosphere, the fact that I was told to use a side entrance because doors lock at 10 pm. Then be told “watch out for the baby bear” was also a treat lol. Wow.

At one time long ago, this hotel was quite nice. Unfortunately it has become badly run down. The property is quite filthy both on the outside and the inside, the desk clerk is quite rude and belligerent to both guests and the local RCMP officer who was asking for assistance. There appears to be little to no level of caring towards the property.
