    Good, could be better
Staff were absolutely excellent and friendly. Property was large and near a beautiful place area. Restaurant was great but breakfast could be a bit better. Rooms were nice and clean, fairly large and roomy. Currently going through renovations so should prove in the future. Could not get signal on the tv and wifi was also in some areas but we didn't use those services much at all.

The breakfast was wonderful. Most of the staff are friendly and accommodating. The owners are incredibly hospitable and we enjoyed the free art classes! The resort is dated and under construction. We enjoyed our stay especially swimming in the lake which is directly across the street.

    A piece of Muskoka History
We arrived at the resort around 7:15, and didn't realize that dinner was only served until 7 pm. They were very kind to stay and cook a lovely trout dinner for us. Staff were very friendly, and you could tell they love working there. Yes, the place is tired, but we knew that going in. It is a 100-year-old resort, that has a lot of history, so as long as your expectations aren't for something else, you will be happy. It has a homey feel, with board games, books, and the owner's art hanging all over the place. Beds were fine. Rooms very clean. The only thing I felt was lacking was a hair dryer in the room. We had a lovely breakfast with omelettes, pancakes, bacon and sausages. We were disappointed that we weren't able to meet the new owners of the resort, as they sound like fascinating people. We do wish them well in their endeavour to revitalize this piece of Muskoka history.

The cottage was very clean and I really liked the location of the resort, however it was not worth the $$$. I had planned an evening away for my husband and I and was understanding that the pool/hot tub would be in working order, which they were not. We got to our cottage a little early and staff were very accommodating. The cottage was big, empty space and furniture needed some updating...not very comfy, wooden love seat!! I understand this resort is under new ownership and renovating was going on when we were there. I hope they will bring thing up to snuff!
