Short summay: absolute the best logding place we had in Iceland! (We stayed in 6 different places) Host is friendly and nice; and the room is big, clean, quiet, and every room has kitchen which is very handy. Room deco is very nice as well :) really recommend this place!

We were located in the building shared with reception. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view out over the fields. Car parking is easy but be aware that the main reception building is up some stairs and you are required to take off your shoes inside the building, which is inconvenient when moving in and out as you tend to do at a hotel. Check-in is from 4pm exactly. We arrived at 3:50pm and were turned away so awkwardly sat in the car for 10 minutes. I understand we were early, but it wasn't by much so I don't think it was unreasonable to be allowed in. The facilities on-site were good and the overall experience was good. We could hear the lobby music from our room which was annoying if you are trying to have a lie in, as it plays all day and starts at 7:30am. It is nice music, just not when you want some peace and quiet. Finally, the shower was extremely low pressure when being used by other guests, to the point that it was just dribbling out. We might have been unlucky here, but it's not out of the ordinary for guests to shower at a similar time in the morning. Overall we would give the hotel a 3/5 for our experience. Although had we arrived at 4pm and avoided the awkward check-in it would have been a 4/5.

This experience was excitement!! It is a quaint farmhouse setting with a modern vibe!! We had a room with a private bath, but they offered a large family room area with multiple tables and sofa areas. They also offered a kitchen and game area in a separate building. Breakfast was served each morning in the welcome area. It was very yummy!!
