Super clean and lovingly taken care of property. Very nice staff. My only comment would be our room right opposite front desk as this is a small guest house. One guest checked in late and we had an early night, for early flight so somewhat disruptive. Lovely breakfast which they put on extra early for our 7 o’clock departure(usually breakfast at 8) loved the sitting room at the end of the hall. Thank you

A Home Away From Home in Punta Arenas Chile

The personel working at Albatros are wonderful, kind, and hard-working. The breakfast is a treat and the owner acted as the cook and offered us food that was cooked on-the-spot and delicious. This small hotel, about 6 rooms, is comfortable, clean, modern (newly-renovated), and well-located. It is just two or three blocks north of the main street and in an interesting location. The locals are friendly and courteous. There are a variety of room types including double-bed or double-bed and single. There is a lovely eating area and a generous working/sitting area. The wifi works very well. I would recommend Albatros to anyone who desires the comforts and friendliness of a small establishment. There is a very good heating system so one needs not be concerned about the cooler nights of the early spring or late fall. And, the local water is excellent for drinking.

This property is about a 20 min walk from the bus terminal. It is located about 6 blocks away from the plaza de armes. I arrived on Sunday and my stay was for 1 night. As with many places on a Sunday in South America, most places were closed. It was almost a ghost town on Sunday afternoon. I would recommend not coming to Punta Arenas on a Sunday as well as Monday. There is really is not much to do if you arrive on either of those 2 days. The room itself is clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it.

    Hotel is conveniently located.

I booked this room for my brother, so I contacted frequently the hotel staff either by email or by phone. Marisel in particular, was extremely helpful, friendly, polite and professional. She returned my emails in a timely manner and answered all my questions. Overall, it was a great experience!

    Good option

Good option in a town with marginal places to stay. Within walking distance to center of town. Staff is eager to please.

There was no receptionist when I arrived. I called the hotel several times and Expedia several times. I waited 3 hours continuously returning to the hotel. I ended up not using the hotel and finding another hotel. The next day the manager apologized. He seems to think his receptionist left and went to a party.

the rooms are clean and the bed is comfy, showers are hot n water flow is good. Wasn't sure about the fact that you can't throw toilet paper into the toilets. all the rooms are on one floor ad the first time i was there, my room was in the front of the building which was really noisy and it was also just next to reception desk and front door. When i came back to Punta Arenas after my visits to P.Natales, i was given a room further back n it was much quieter. They were also very accommodating with providing breakfast before their usual times. Most of the tours will start before their breakfast timings, so it was good to get some packed breakfast. In the breakfast room, they have a kettle, so you're allowed to make your own coffee/tea. Overall, its a nice comfy room with a telly.
