Everyone has same key, you can open all rooms
The gentleman who runs the place is lovely and accommodating, however, the rooms all have a lock and key that dates back to the 1800s. And you are given a key to get into your room and your bathroom, but your key fits into other people's rooms and other people's bathrooms, also, EVERYONE HAS THE SAME KEY. The people in the next room over accidentally opened my room door. All the keys to all rooms and bathrooms ARE ALL THE SAME, anyone with a key can come into your room. On top of that, you need the key to open the door from the inside, it was tricky and had to have the person I was travelling with come in from the outside to unlock the door for me. The twin room we are in says it has A/C, but no A/C, just a fan with directions in Chinese, all the while, it is in Rome in the summer so no a/c, forget a good sleep. The couple that had the room next to us were also frustrated with their keys, they just ended up leaving their bathroom door open instead of having to do with these 1800's era keys that are tricky to work. It's 2018, for those of us travelling with computers and expensive cameras, please have the consideration to upgrading your room locks.

Exceptional 10.0
Hidden gem in Rome
Beautiful building, quiet in the room and great balcony which allowed for people watching despite being private. Really great location for tourism, easy to reach by public transport from either airport. Really clean and great staff. Will definitely stay again.
