Heavy chemical smell in the room. I travel frequently for work and unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. The room was in poor condition with multiple broken items and visible signs of neglect. There was no regular coffee provided in the room, which is a basic amenity I expect at any hotel. The in-room phone didn’t work, making it difficult to contact the front desk or request assistance. On top of that, the room faced the parking lot, and I was repeatedly disturbed by people knocking on the door—completely unacceptable and very unsettling. Overall, this stay fell far below standard expectations. I would not recommend this property to other travelers.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very disappointing experience. The water in the room was not warm enough for a bath. I approached the hotel staff twice about this issue. The first time, they said they would look into it while we were headed out, but when we returned, the problem was still there. The second time, they insisted the water was warm enough, but I had already tried to take a bath and was freezing. Frustrated, we decided to pack our things and check out. The employee was very dismissive and gaslighted me the whole time. When I requested a refund, they refused, only to reluctantly offer to try another room as we were walking out in the middle of the night.

This is a good place to have a sleep and explore Halifax by car. It's in an inconvenient location - not close to anything, but has the basics and is quiet. Staff are polite and the contiental breakfast will get you through until lunch.
