    Gorgeous hotel but poor service

We were greeted warmly upon arrival. Our suite room in the annexe was attractive and clean. There was some black mildew on the tiles surrounding the tub. A significant exception to my generally overall positive experience was the waiter — unshaven, uncombed hair — who told us to move from the breakfast table where we’d already been seated. Said we needed to sit at a table for 4 nearby. It was covered with dirty dishes whereas the table where we were seated was clean and ready. I asked to stay at the clean table and he rolled his eyes and reluctantly directed us to return to our initial table. He was then offhand and rude for the remainder of the meal. He had also been inattentive and unfriendly the evening before at dinner. Other staff members were perfectly pleasant.

    Excellent Langley Castle!

Although we had only booked one night’s stay we wished it was longer. The Castle looks amazing and was in a lovely setting. Everything was very clean and we felt safe (re Covid), the staff were courteous and friendly. The food was excellent and we shall be recommending this venue to our family and friends and would definitely visit again.

    Poor experience castle experience

Room filthy with cobwebs. Stank of foist. Only 3 dishes to choose on a gourmet menu! Never found the bar area. Checked out after 2 hours, the ghost story frightened us half to death- want a refund

    Beautiful Castle stay

A lovely large room, with everything we needed and great decor. It was a "castle view" room, but only a few minutes walk to the castle itself. Beautiful dining room and bar in the castle with lots of features and atmosphere. We had to order for dinner and breakfast before going to the dining room for Covid safety, and a few things had been missed off our breakfast menu, but this was quickly rectified.

Fabulous place and the staff were great too. They have been to more trouble to comply with the spirit of COVID restrictions than anyone else we have stayed with and it was great to feel safe and reassured. One of the three best meals we have ever had. This place is as good as it looks!
