    Location, Location, Location.
Great property, Friendly Service. Top notch amenities in the room. The area appears to be a bit rougher than it really is, but that's probably because of the city.

    Great Hotel with Problems
This hotel was very nice. Nearly everything about it was perfect, aside from two things that will keep me from returning. Wifi was only free if you sign up with their rewards program. This is an expensive hotel in an era when free wifi is typically offered in cheap motels. I felt like I was backpacking through Europe in the early 2000's again. Sure, I could have just signed up for their loyalty program, but I am sick of the overwhelming number of loyalty programs available these days and think it is fairly pathetic that they are forcing this one on their customers. No thanks. I was put in room 1137 which included an adjoining room door. unfortunately the noise isolation through this door was terrible and I could clearly hear our neighbours quiet conversations. It kept me up at night and woke me up in the morning. Again, I felt like I was back in a European hostel. Make sure to ask for a room without an adjoining room door, or take your money elsewhere. The hotel was otherwise fantastic, but I would rather head somewhere with netflix and silence.

Best hotel staff I’ve ever experienced
Probaly the best staff/customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Kelsey and the rest of the staff at the Duniway set the bar very very high.

    The art was good.
The Duniway is in the heart of Portland, walking distance to pubs and restaurants which aren't quite as pricey as the lounge and restaurant in the hotel. Walking distance, as well, to the Portland Museum of Art, if that's your thing. Only disappointment would be the hotel's penchant for down-filled pillows. I thought everyone was now using some form of foam pillows; the down made this allergy receptive author have a very uncomfortably plugged up evening. The lounge would have also been nice after a long day of travel but was closed for a private function. No pool either. Oh well. A great hotel with super staff, including the car hops, but too many little things led to an average night, not a great one.
