Hostelling at its best.
The one experience that has changed my vision of hostels for ever to the best.

It was quite nice staying there. Because the hostel wasn't so big and was divided by levels, the common areas shared at the respective levels weren't filled with lots of people. This seemed to be easier for travellers to get to know each other. Also, the staff running the place was friendly.

Cheap but functional
Great if you just need a cheap place to stay, but don't expect it to be like a traditional hotel. It appears to be an apartment building that was converted into hotel rooms as there were two hotel rooms with a shared living room and bathrooms behind a single main door. Each bedroom door can be locked individually if you are worried about the guests in the other room though. My biggest complaint is the lack of signage. I happened to memorize the street address before leaving, which was fortunate, because there are no signs at all apart from a door with a number plate and the door was locked. I arrived at midnight, and I had to wait around for five minutes after ringing the doorbell while I was worried that I wasn't even in the right place, since it didn't look like a hotel. (The host explained that she was out moving her car because she has to move it at midnight). Also note that the room is up a steep and narrow flight of stairs. I assume there is an elevator somewhere, but you'd have to ask if that's an issue for you. Traffic outside tends to be noisy, but you can close the window to block it out. However, it does have everything you might expect from a place to stay - bed, electricity, wifi, bathroom, etc.
