No excuse for the deplorable follow up
Very nice check in, clean. The walls were paper thin and the people next door kept me up all night. Most importantly ...I called immediately after leaving and implored them to get back To me and said I had left a very important book by the side of my bed. I said I would have fedex pick it up. Emphasized how important it was. No call. None.

While the room amenities were okay, the unpleasant odor was overpowering

Good
We were placed in a room that was near either heating or plumbing facilities and heard banging on the other side of the wall that lasted for 2 to 10 min every 1-2 hrs throughout the night . We were told it was due to some sort of problem and they would look into it .

Shabby, unclean room, Property not kept up Advertised as luxury but far from it. Bathroom floor tiles broken and missing. Carpets full of stains Two flimsy pillows Horrible place.

Great hosts, lots of potential
Upon check-in, the hosts were very helpful in giving suggestions in the area. Through hotels.com we reserved a room with 2 queens for 2 adults and 1 child. We were given a room with 2 doubles and had to ask for the extra linens for the 3rd person. The only 3 prong power outlet in the room was in the bathroom- so for better or worse, couldn't plug in the computer. We wanted to get take-out at the restaurant, but no one even acknowledged our presence for > 10 minutes of standing at the host stand. It would have been okay if they just said that they would be with us in a few minutes. My sister stayed there and loved it. Maybe just an off day?

romantic getaway
It was a bit stressful staying here as it’s hard to get a hold of the front desk. Our room #6 had bo AC. Called, left message. No call. We had to go fetch the front desk for breakfast tgat was suppose to be delivered at 9 am. Great inn! I love the decorations & ambience. Restaurabt next door. The barn side suites have jacuzzis. Just a 10 minute drive to Williamstown.
