Not worth the $$$
Was way to many kids. Felt like I was in Disneyland most of the time. No place to have dinner without kids yelling the whole time. Stayed at what was supposed to be a “adult floor”. This wasn’t true as we could hear crying and screaming kids on our floor. Fridge didn’t work properly, never fixed it. Didn’t supply dog dish cause “they didn’t have any left” had to ask for another bowl. Didn’t change the sheets when cleaning the room. Food was good, but very overpriced because of the location.

Unbelievable mountain getaway
Great stay, all the staff went above and beyond- especially at the Cedar Room and Blacktail Bar- special shout outs to Howard, Aiden and Graham for serving us during our stay. Make sure to try the wild mushroom side dish and the S’mores old fashioned! Incredible and stunning Rocky Mountain outdoor activities- we chose to ski, try fat biking, and we spent an evening at the Nordic spa. All 5 stars!! Thank you to the team x

Great location to ski hill
Great property and would likely stay again due to proximity to the Nakiska ski hill. However, the tv system was not working and the steam room never worked either so that was disappointing.

Disappointing
This was our third New Years in Kananaskis and I fortunately likely our last. The experience has really gone down this year. The pool has been renovated even further since last year, but two kids in our party sustained injuries from the pool grates which put a definite damper on the pool experience. We understood from the medic that there were other injuries requiring stitches, which made our kids and ourselves really nervous. There were no robes in the rooms to go to the pool, but we saw other people walking around in robes. Also, the sheets on the bed were too small and kept coming off during the night, which was unhygienic and annoying. I wouldn’t pay for the New Years buffet again. This year the quality of the food wasn’t great and it isn’t worth the cost for how little the kids ate. Overall, we used to feel like staying here was a bit of a luxury but now it feels very overpriced for the service and experience that you receive. It would be worth it to spend a little bit more to take advantage of the Alberta Residents rate and stay at the Fairmont.

Great location, friendly staff and lots of fun activities. Only thing is the family next door was super loud. It sounded like they were having a party in their room, and slammed the door four to five times, 11 pm, which woke me up...

Spa Weekend
Had a great weekend away at the Nordic Spa and a stay at Crosswaters. It was a really busy weekend, took way too long to get our room and check-in, line ups and only 4 front desk staff. Likewise, was really surprised that the hotel bar and the pub did not have any festive drinks on their menu (egg nog, mulled wine, hot cider), an unfortunate missed opportunity. All in all we had a lovely stay, with just a few little hiccups.

Fabulous birthday weekend
I reached out to the hotel on Friday before our stay (Sat - Sun). My partner and I were going to celebrate his 30th birthday and I wanted to make this visit as special as possible. Eric, the hotel concierge, truly made our stay wonderful! Upon check in, we learned our room had been upgraded (first great surprise!). He also ensured we had some drink vouchers to use at the hotel bar, and had a delivery of beer and snacks with a personally written happy birthday card to our room. This was sincerely one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. Thank you so kindly for making our weekend amazing!

Nicely updated, but reception needs work
We had a nice time in Kananaskis village, however when we checked in we werent told about any of the amenities we had access to, so we didn't know that there was a pool facility we could use and we weren't told that we got a $15 discount at the Nordic Spa for being hotel guests. The ice machine was broken and the underground parking wasnt operable either (its also $12/day). It was frustrating to have these negatives, and still have to pay a $27/day "resort fee" while getting nothing in return. Went to the pub across the street for dinner, food and service were both alright. I would recommend bringing drinks and snacks with you as there isnt a place to buy it in the village.
