10/10 Exceptional

Nice apartment, great location!
Unfortunately, there was an issue and we did not get to stay in the room we booked. This put a slight damper in the beginning of our stay because we were one bed short and made the stay a little uncomfortable. They explained the situation and compensated us for the inconvenience. The check in email with instructions didn’t make it to my inbox (not their fault) so I wasn’t aware that our apartment was not in the beautiful yellow building in the photos and we arrived at the incorrect location. However, the apartment we were provided was well maintained and had a great location! Across the street, you have a bus stop, within a few minutes walk was a grocery store and train station. You are only one stop away from Stephenplatz! We often walked/rode the train. They provide a binder with useful information. My only suggestion is to include instructions on how to use the washing machine and stove top as I needed to Google that info. It is a micro machine so you can only wash a few items at a time otherwise it shakes really bad during the spin cycle. Had to purchase detergent/softener but left it there for the next person. The Nespresso machine was nice and easy to use. Two small closets with a good amount of storage space/hangers. It does have a courtyard view but really what you see is a wall.

2/10 Poor

Terrible from the onset.
The management was callous at best. First they changed my original reservation and gave me another apartment. On reaching the apartment, the door could not be unlocked so had to wait until someone arrived and unlocked it. I was told the apartment has a double bed when in fact it was two twin beds joined together. Instead of one double/queen comforter, it was two separate twin comforters. The bathroom heat was not working and the sink was clogged. I send them an email and instead of recognizing their mistake, I got an email from hotels.com that property manager will charge extra since we have an extra kid, essentially trying to fleece the deposit. The heat is turned off at night so if you wake up in the middle of the night, it is difficult to go back to sleep. The location was excellent but the management was terrible and the apartment was pretty old with cheap furnishings. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing service. The heating didn’t work the first night but we fixed it over the phone and were so helpful. They even let us keep the bags in the room later than check out free of charge. 10/10 would recommend, couldn’t ask for a better location.

Broken A/C + aggravation
Stayed for a 50th birthday celebration weekend. Chose the apartment over other accommodations because of the location and the fact that it was advertised as having air conditioning. Top floor apartment and 27 degrees meant a sweltering room. There was an A/C unit in the room, but we discovered it was not functioning. Spent a large part of the weekend in contact with the property manager trying to remedy the situation. Was informed there was a fan we could use, but it was missing from the room. Then was told someone would come the next morning to fix the unit and we would be compensated. They came mid-afternoon and claimed it was working fine and brought a fan. Ten minutes after they left, the unit behaved the same way we had explained...works for a few minutes and then an alarm sounds and an error code appears. When we checked out I received a message that they hoped I enjoyed my stay since they fixed the air conditioner. And I explained, that it was NOT fixed and explained the whole interaction again. The compensation they offered was not acceptable considering the aggravation and time spent on the matter, especially in light of the fact that we were celebrating an occasion and din't need to spend time on this. Oh and I was told that they have now bought a new unit which works fine. Well, that's great for the next guest, but didn't help us. And they offered a voucher as compensation which I find obnoxious. As if we'd be eager to go through this again. Overall, it's not about

This apartment is within the city center, very spacious, and clean. Checking in was very easy. However, I wished they had the basic amenities such as soap, shampoo and lotion. Otherwise, everything is good!
