The good overshadowed the bad
single room-#2, 5 night stay
Pros: Great price for an excellent location in a fairly quiet street around the corner from the train station and about 15 minute walk to Old Town Square, plenty of restaurants nearby - including Paul, the French bakery chain 😋 ; freshly laundered sheets; modern style decor; microwave, mini fridge, dishes & cutlery included - plus a corkscrew/bottle opener! Building has an elevator, which is a life saver with luggage.
Cons: Shower handle was broken, so you could not adjust it to right height, also caused a big puddle outside shower, due to angle; toilet sat very high.
I think the mattress/bed has broken springs. I like a firm bed, to support my back. And it seemed pretty firm, but the edge of the bed would almost collapse under you. Every morning I woke up with a sore back.
Some easy suggestions to improve the room: add hooks and a shower caddy/shelf in bathroom; add a few more hooks on the walls and a small table under TV for charging things - all the outlets are at such awkward heights /locations that you have to put everything on the floor.
Overall, I would consider staying here again, despite the issues with shower and bed, maybe book a double room instead. If I'd noticed the issues a bit earlier, I would've asked to switch rooms, but didn't want the hassle after I'd settled in.
