The hidden clause
My wife and I who are living in Guatemala traveled by car. We used WAZE to fine the place and got lost. The hotel lies off the main highway and there was not notice on the highway to turn off. We got lost following WAZE and had to get information from a neighbor living in the same area. Third time lucky we found the right entrance called Buenos Aires, a narrow lane which led to a security gate which let into a private area where the hotel is located. All this in a thunderstorm. It is a small hotel with about 11 rooms, some of which are not completely furnished. These room do have a wonderful view! I found the amount charged to be deceptive. The room was quoted at $60.00 US; we stayed two nights which should have been 120 plus Guatemala taxes of 20%, which would have been $144.00. Instead the charge was 207.00 plus. The hotel.com customer service representative found out that they had charge us another $25.00 a night for the 'extra person' , a clause that did not appear on the advertisement form. The customer representative was kind enough to give us a coupon for our troubles. The WIFI did not reach out room!

Anytime I am going to visit Guatemala City I am going to stay at this hotel! Not only was it clean comfortable and relaxing I became close with the family who owns it. They are welcoming people and make you feel like part of the family. I will always have fond memories of this place. Check it out you won't regret it.
