Petri Suites, Santorini

Our stay was terrific. Beautiful small hotel with kind staff. Maria was particularly terrific. Come here when you need to get away from it all and just relax. Only critique is the hot tub wasn’t very hot and the front desk the last day tried to make us check out early. You won’t be disappointed.

Having lived and travelled extensively in Greece, we were looking for Greek Chic and this ticked all of the boxes and then some. Beautiful suites in a quiet location, cleaned thoroughly every day to the standard of five star hotels, absolutely immaculate. A couple of minutes walk to the beach and enough tavernas and restaurants to suit all appetites. We will be recommending Petri Suites to other people looking for a similar escape!

On arrival we were downgraded without any explanation or offer of refund. It appeared that George or Maria didn’t want to help us. We were informed that Hotel.com made the mistake and at one time Maria asked if we would like to leave. We were also told by George that he had sent an email to Hotels.com but when I enquired this was untrue. It’s a pity because this place could be good. The bed was extremely comfortable and very well decorated but it was very noisy, upstairs jacuzzi kept us awake. We felt at this time that that the management were unapproachable, therefore didn’t complain. Also our hot-tub was facing the restaurant where staff sat smoking outside which put us off eating there and made us feel uncomfortable using the hot-tub. I would avoid this property, it will always be a 2 star unless the management team change their attitude. ,

Maria and George are excellent hosts and waited for me to arrive after my flight took 9+ hours to arrive to Santorini due to weather. And because the weather was so bad the hotel did not have the pool running, and there was some construction going on, but that didn’t take away from my experience whatsoever. I loved my room and stay because of the staff!

I am writing to let you know about my very unusual experience at this hotel. I am very disappointed that I paid more than $1600 for four nights at a place that was very uncomfortable and unkempt. Petri Suites was extremely dusty and dirty, perhaps as the very nice manager said, because it was renovated recently. Nonetheless, as we shared several times with the staff, we were all coughing, highly allergic, and uncomfortable. They said they would clean the room which they did the first and third nights but forgot to clean the room the second night. While the pool and its deck were beautiful, it was closed for three of the four days we were there because it was full of green algae. They drained the pool and spa and tried to fill it but it never got opened even up to the day we left. What’s worse is that we did swim in the green colored pool the first day. My younger son now has an ear infection. The refrigerator in our room was broken so the manager pulled it out of its closet which was a problem because the room was very tight. We were told that we would get a room for four of us that had a sea view. The only view we could get of the sea was if our solid wood door was open. The sea is a very long walk from Petri Suites. The view we had Windows we could see through was of a junkyard full of metal and scraps and other trash. We could see laundry, cats, and other undesirable things. The drain was clogged and the room was flooded with soapy sink water. They did

O hotel é um pouco distante do centro, mas para quem procura tranqulidade e relax a beira mar ou da piscina é uma ótima opção de estadia. Excelentes restaurantes por perto, com o melhor da culinária grega e internacional e aventuras aquáticas fáceis de serem contratadas a qualquer momento.
