Good location in Barcelona
Good location for a fair price. Located near Fontana metro station and most attractions (old city center, Sagrada familia) are even accessible by foot in 20-30 minutes. Lots of shops and restaurants around.

Exceeded expectations
It was exactly what we expected...a comfortable place to sleep and prepare for days of exploring Barcelona. The staff was present and polite. It was quiet and cool in the room. The bathroom was large enough, and the shower great. Tough to get stuff up the narrow stairs but we expected that thanks to previous reviews. Overall we were pleasantly surprised on how comfortable we were. Wifi was a little slow but available.

Exceptional 10.0
More like a hotel not a hostel
For a hostel it was amazing, room cleaned every day and towels changed on request! We paid extra for a private bathroom which was really nice but the public one in general was sooo clean and big! The only thing we disliked was we had to be silent every night after 11 but that’s understandable, they looked after our bags when we had to check out and went around the city, lovely staff and lovely place, ill be returning definitely

Fair 4.0
Clean and friendly, but horrible stench from sink
I booked a cheap single room. It is a box room with sink, desk and spacious wardrobe (a bit too spacious for a single room though). There is only one plug next to the sink, far away from anything else so use your laptop and electronic equipment wisely. The staff is very friendly and explains you everything at the beginning, and the shared bathrooms are remarkably clean. Hotel is in a quiet area, but guests unaware of thin walls. Also the matress is very good (not old) and same for the cushion, although my bedsheets had burn marks. They were otherwise crisp so I didn't mind. There is a window above the bathroom room which is always half-open though, so people can hear EVERYTHING. Unfortunately, I was assigned a room right next to the shared bathroom, and walls are quite thin - especially couples tend to go to the bathroom together and chat all the time, so bring earplugs. You can't open the window out to the balcony, so I ended up boiling during the night. The worst thing was the atrocious stench coming from the sink pipe - you know, this horrible smell that comes from old pipes sometimes which cannot be easily solved by using tons of bleach. Don't really know how I got through the night, but if I had the choice I would never ever pick that room again. Make sure you don't end up in 209, right next to the bathroom! But tbh, Gràcia (and the whole of Barcelona, of course) is amazing with cafés and public libraries and parks, so you won't spend much time in the pension anyways.

Exactly what it says on the tin
Perfect, as described. Clean, tidy and well-located. Very reasonably priced and central to any and all tourist attractions.
