Love this place!
Amazing hotel! The staff is welcoming and cool, goes over and beyond to assist. I brought my dog with me for the stay and they had a doggie bed and bowls already set up in the room! The record player is a great touch, comfy bed, and super clean. I’ll be back!

Very Good 8.0
Style sacrificing practicality
We chose the Eaton for its central location and community orientation, particularly in support of social justice. The good: staff were friendly and the room was very cozy. Location was excellent for the Smithsonian, with easy access to the metro and buses as well. The not so good: Eaton tries to have a bit more character than your average hotel, but unfortunately these features were more about style than substance. For example, while the bathroom had Instagrammable style, there was no vent, the lock as misaligned, and towel hooks were located in the shower - overall not very practical. The toilet and shower had separate alcoves, but with no door between them, still only one person could use at a time. The record player in our room didn't work. The fun light fixture above the table? Beware of smacking your head into it every. time. you get up. Even opening our window in December, and turning off the heat, the temperature stayed at a balmy 72 degrees. An interesting place to stay, but won't be my first choice when visiting D.C. again.
