AVOID - unless you like a hairy breakfast
*** AVOID **** I never leave reviews. This place, however, needs one. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and I booked here because I wanted something near to an all day meeting I had the following morning and it has 4 stars. Good, right? No. My room was on the top floor - no lift, three flights of stairs. The wifi would not connect. The bed was rock hard. The pillows were paper thin and even four of them stacked up did not amount to anything. There was no pressure with the shower in the morning. I was looking forward to a cooked breakfast in the morning and found a HUGE long black hair on my fried egg. I sent it back. It came back out, I went to take a bite and ANOTHER HUGE LONG BLACK HAIR in the beans. Nope. Couldn't eat anything. The couple on the table next to me were furious as their breakfast was seriously under cooked and they had a refund on their room it was so bad. Seriously, just avoid.

Family weekend trip to Birmingham.
Simon the new owner was very helpful, friendly & understanding. We had car trouble so were delayed in checking in. Out of hours checking in, communication etc process was smooth. Stairs to Family Room at the top are narrow, bit tricky for elderly. Check directly with hotel if you have disability etc.
