Downtown Pittsburgh epitomizes cosmopolitan living. As you walk through its central streets, skyscrapers jut all around, and you’re right in the bustle of the business district. This is where Pittsburghers hop from work to play, and you’re welcome to join in, for it’s also the cultural center of the city.

There are tons of theaters, art centers, and concert halls. Catch live music at Market Square, or a new show at the Pittsburgh Public Theatre. 1) Too noisy because of train station all night long, not a little noise ut alot and for extended periods of time, couldnt get much sleep 2) First day check in and room had a dirty used towel on the ground in the washroom and missing bed sheet. There manager on site Andrew that changed our room to a different room and took us to a new floor which we then took a ride in the elevator going up and down to drop other guests as the room keys did not work. Andrew told us not to worry and told us that our stay would be compensated for. When we checked out on the last day to our surprise the operations manager Ian told us that he couldnt do anything because we booked thru expedia. This made us wonder what is the benefit of booking thru expedia? 4) we had valet parking and when we recd our car there was damage on the side of the vehicle. Now we paid for our stay and now have car damage we have to deal with. This has been a vwry expensive vacation for us. The manager again took no responsibilty for this and just blamed that valet is separatly run and that somwone will contact us from the valet company this week, well knowing that we were cbecking out that day. We travel.quite a bit and use expedia depending on travel deals but to be honest this is by far the worst hotel and worst experience my family and i have ever had. I hope that this doesnt fall on deaf ears as i also work in the customer service industry and this would of been taken very seriously.

    Weekend getaway

Easy check-in ( although not your typical first floor lobby- it’s on the 7th floor). Rooms were ready, modern and clean.

    Thumbs up!!

I come into Pittsburgh at least twice a year to visit family and friends. I also travel frequently on business. Over the past few years, I have stayed at several hotels in Pittsburgh. I must say my experience at the AC was quite pleasant. The staff was helpful and courteous, the room was modern and clean, parking was adequate, and the location was convenient. AC Hotel met all of my expectations. Though I do not give reviews frequently, I felt the experience was worth mentioning, and I will undoubtedly stay at AC during future visits.

    Freight train in my room

Stayed at AC hotel for two days while passing through Pittsburgh over Memorial Day weekend. Parked in a paid lot across from hotel due to valet being closed for Covid. Booked a corner room and was given a handicapped corner room possibly because of several large groups staying in the hotel. Shortly after settling in, there was a loud train noise right outside our window and in fact there was a very loud freight train right outside our window. I'll repeat myself, it was LOUD. There were at least four trains all throughout the night. Called front desk and was offered a room away from the train but at this point, we were already settled in and ready to sleep. The entire room and hotel were impeccably clean. However the soap dispensers in the shower was out of shower gel and the handle on the faucet was broken. Not a big deal but still was an inconvenience. Over all, I would not stay at this hotel again and would recommend you consider not staying here if you are partial to noise while sleeping. What it had going for it was that it is right next to the convention center and conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants/bars/shops etc.

    All Time Cap

Shout to the guy who checked us in, he was wonderful. Great restaurant recommendations etc. but when the manager said that I smoked in the room, when I smoked across the street; in a parking lot that didn’t belong to the property, in a vehicle that I own.. you charge my card for $200.. don’t smell like smoke walking in here or the “hotel feds” boutta cap. Perfect Stay

We came to pick our son up from college, so just an overnight stay. The university was close. The check-in was easy and pleasant. The room was beatiful, well designed and quiet. We walked to a delicious Mexican dinner and a trolled along the river afterward. Stopped for a quick coffee on the corner in the morning and had a relaxed check-out. Perfect stay.
